Eco Ed Camps
September 5, 6, 7, 11, 13, 14, 17, 18, 2007
September 27-28, 2007 (2-day camp)
Turtle River State Park, Grand Forks County
Description:  Conservation education camps geared to 7th grade students.
Sponsored By:  The camp is funded with 319 funds from EPA, and coordinated by Grand Forks County Soil Conservation District.  This program is possible through the partnership with many organizations including: ND Forest Service, US Fish & Wildlife, NRCS, Grand Forks Public Schools, Grand Forks Water Treatment Plant, ND Game & Fish, Grand Forks County Extension Service, Altru Ambulance Service, and local volunteers.

7th Grade Conservation Tour

Carbury Dam, Bottineau County
Description:  7th grade students from all Bottineau County Schools participate in a variety of presentations on natural resource issues.  Presentations are given on: water quality, soils, grasses and weeds, wildlife, and trees.  Lunch is sponsored by Turtle Mountain and Mouse River Soil Conservation Districts.

Riding Range Tour

Description:  Informational riding tour and wagons for non-horseback riding participants to learn about res/recovery, rotations, record keeping, plant identifications, monitoring use, noxious weeds, NRCS programs, and shallow stockwater pipelines.
